| Pedestrian suffers minor injuries when struck by duck boat in Boston Posted: 20 Nov 2012 02:41 PM PST A pedestrian suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a Boston Duck Tours duck boat at Bowdoin and Cambridge streets this afternoon, officials said. Police responded to the scene around 1:50 p.m., and Boston EMS arrived shortly after to take the pedestrian to Massachusetts General Hospital. Police did not release any more details. Cindy Brown, general manager of the company, said the duck boat was turning left at 2 or 3 miles per hour onto Cambridge Street. |

The photo was posted on one woman's Facebook page, according to the non-profit, LIFE Inc. The photo has since been removed from the page, said the company, which did not name the two women. |

| Lawsuit seeks to hold Kraft responsible for deaths after underage drinking at Gillette Stadium Posted: 20 Nov 2012 02:36 PM PST A Norfolk Superior Court judge is pondering whether to dismiss a lawsuit that claims Robert Kraft and his associated companies were responsible for a car crash that killed two young women and injured a third after underage drinkers partied at a 2008 country music concert at Gillette Stadium. The suit alleges that Kraft was negligent when he didn't address the problem of underage drinking in a stadium parking lot. |

| Lynn mother allegedly hit 6-year-old daughter for bringing wrong shoes to school Posted: 20 Nov 2012 02:12 PM PST A Lynn mother was arrested on two counts of assault and battery after allegedly striking her child in the face for bringing the wrong shoes to school. On Nov. 14, Rosilda Lopez, 28, was asked to bring sneakers for her 6-year-old daughter to the Drewicz Elementary School, said Lynn Police Lieutenant Chris Kelly. The girl was called to the office to meet her mother — who was upset she had to go to the school and bring the shoes, he said. |

| Police probe slaying of man in his 20s in Brighton Posted: 20 Nov 2012 02:02 PM PST A man in his 20s was shot to death in Brighton Monday afternoon in an apparent drug-related homicide, authorities said. Police responded at about 5:30 p.m. to a call for a person shot near 114 Leicester St. and found the man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation said the fatal shooting was drug-related. |
