| T says smartphone ticket app is a hit with commuter rail riders Posted: 14 Nov 2012 03:14 PM PST MBTA commuters have jumped at the chance to pay for tickets via their smartphones, downloading the T's new mobile ticketing app 6,000 times since its release Monday, the T said. "There's been a lot of positive feedback — many are excited about the app and it's more convenient for them," said acting General Manager Jonathan Davis. | ||||

| Acting leader of New England Mafia is sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison Posted: 14 Nov 2012 02:41 PM PST The acting leader of the New England Mafia was sentenced today in federal court in Rhode Island to 6 1/2 years in prison for his role in a racketeering conspiracy to extort payments from adult entertainment businesses in that state, federal and state authorities said today. Anthony L. Dinunzio, 53, of East Boston had pleaded guilty in September to one count of conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise, authorities said. | ||||
