| UMass Boston building evacuated after bomb threat Posted: 18 Oct 2012 02:14 PM PDT A University of Massachusetts Boston science building was briefly evacuated this morning after the school received a bomb threat, university officials said. University public safety personnel responded to the campus's Science Center at 11:30 a.m. after receiving a claim that a bomb had been placed in the building, said DeWayne Lehman, a university spokesman. |

| Owners of massage parlors in Wellesley, Revere arrested in human trafficking operation Posted: 18 Oct 2012 02:30 PM PDT Two men who owned massage parlors in Wellesley and Revere have been arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation, the state attorney general's office announced today. Zhen Lai, 37, of Quincy and Joseph Girouard, 55, of Revere were arrested this afternoon without incident by State Police assigned to the attorney general's office and agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations office, along with several police departments. |

| Wandering coyote captured after causing school lockdown in Mattapan Posted: 18 Oct 2012 01:30 PM PDT A wandering coyote was captured this afternoon after his travels through the Mattapan neighborhood caused alarm — and the lockdown of a school. The coyote was caught on Hosmer Street just after 12:30 p.m., just down the road from the Mildred Avenue School. The recalcitrant animal was dragged out of an alley and placed in an Animal Control truck. |
