This is a tintype of Billy the Kid taken in 1879 or 1880 in Fort Sumner, N.M. It shows the outlaw standing with his hand resting on a Winchester rifle on one side and a Colt revolver holstered on his right side.The only authenticated photograph of infamous Wild West gunslinger Billy the Kid was auctioned off to Florida billionaire William Koch for an $2.3 million on Saturday night.
