Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland holds up the trophy after winning the 111th U.S. Open by eight strokes over Jason Day with a record 268 at Congressional Country Club on Sunday.On another brilliant day of golf, Rory McIlroy ran away with the U.S. Open title, winning by eight shots and breaking the tournament scoring record by a whopping four strokes.

The dress sold for more than $4.6 million.The actress'  "subway" dress by Travilla from "The Seven Year Itch" had an estimated value of $1 million to $2 million. It sold for more than $5.6 million, a new record.
