Shelter charges homeless to stay

The Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles' Skid Row recently startewd charging $7 for an overnight stay and cut its three free meals a day to one. Skid Row resident Dadisi Komolafe points indignantly to the sign reading "Union Rescue Mission," and grumbles that the name no longer fits since the shelter started charging for a nightly stay.

5 dead in Yuma, Ariz., over divorce case

Investigators check a vehicle thought to be that of a man suspected of shooting five people Thursday in Yuma, Ariz. and the Wellton-Mohawk Valley. The man allegedly took his own life in the vehicle found in the desert approximately 13 miles northeast of Yuma.A 73-year-old gunman fatally shoots the attorney who represented his ex-wife in their divorce and four others, including himself in and around Yuma, Ariz., authorities say.
