This June 20, 2000, file photo shows a Ferris wheel in the town of Pripyat, near the Chernobyl nuclear power station, Ukraine. No giddy couples ever rode the wheel; it was to have opened the week after the explosion at Chernobyl in 1986. For the visitor, Chernobyl makes heavy demands on the imagination — much of what's important can be seen only in the mind's eye.

Carmen Olfidia Torres-Sanchez and Ruben Darion Matallana-Galvas are facing murder charges in the death of a woman who was allegedly in their care for a cosmetic surgery procedure. A woman died after botched buttocks enhancement surgery in the back room of a tile business by two Colombian nationals who were later arrested trying to board a plane back to that country.

3 exposed to radiation at Nebraska nuke plant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced Monday that it was investigating the "unplanned radiation exposures" of three workers on April 3 at the Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Neb. The NRC said it did not believe the exposure exceeded its limits.
