Sled dogs pull tourists during a tour run by Outdoor Adventures in the Soo Valley north of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. An organization that fights animal abuse is calling the slaughter of 100 sled dogs by an outdoor adventure company in British Columbia a bloodbath and police are investigating.The 100 dogs were shot dead over two days after an expected post-Olympics boon in dogsledding business at an adventure company didn't pan out. Most died instantly, but others suffered — like the one that ran away with its "face blown off and an eye hanging out."

The Munro House bed and breakfast in Jonesville, Mich., has a 100-foot tunnel that was used as part of the Underground Railroad during slavery times and a trap door from the basement to a secret room between the first and second floors. "If you didn't know it was there, you could never find it," said innkeeper Mike Venturini. History buffs can relive slavery times — especially during Black History month — by staying at these bed and breakfasts once thought to have been "stations" or safe houses on the Underground Railroad.
