2 U.S. agents wounded at Mexico drug gang blockade

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, assigned to the Mexico City office at the U.S. Embassy, were driving toward the northern city of Monterrey when attacked, U.S. officials say.

Two U.S. agents apparently caught up in a road blockade staged by drug traffickers were shot and wounded in central Mexico on Tuesday, officials said.

A Cook County lawsuit alleged that a driver was updating her Facebook page by cell phone when she fatally struck a pedestrian in December, but the mother of the motorist on Tuesday denied the allegations, saying her daughter was about two miles from the crash scene when she posted the message.
