Muti hospitalized after CSO rehearsal Posted: 03 Feb 2011 11:30 AM PST Riccardo Muti, music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, collapsed on the podium early Thursday afternoon while rehearsing the opening subscription program of his winter residency at Symphony Center. The Italian conductor, 69, was reported to have been unconscious when paramedics arrived. No further details were immediately forthcoming. |
