Texting trolley driver admits guilt in crash

Aiden Quinn, a former Boston subway driver who authorities say was texting his girlfriend just before his trolley slammed into the rear of another one, injuring more than 60 people, stands in Suffolk Superior Court in Boston, Mass., on Wednesday, Dec. 29. Quinn changed his plea Wednesday to guilty. He had previously pleaded not guilty to the charge, gross negligence by a person in control of a common carrier. A subway driver who authorities say was texting his girlfriend just before his trolley slammed into the back of another one near an underground station, injuring more than 60 people, pleaded guilty Wednesday and was sentenced to probation.
