Burroughs, DuSable founder, dies

Dr. Margaret Burroughs, the principal founder of the DuSable Museum of African American History on the South Side, died today at 95. She was also a longtime commissioner of the Chicago Park District. Her passing brought kind words from President Barack Obama: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Burroughs' family and loved ones. Her legacy will live on in Chicago and around the world."
